Are You the Same Person You Were a Year Ago?

Past or future
Are you the same person you were a year ago?  Have your views or opinions changed?

There are often times in our lives when we feel like the world is crashing in around us and are overwhelmed with the drama in our lives.  There are other times when we may feel that life just couldn't get any better.  I have experienced both as many of you have as well.

Someone dear to me jokingly often said,  "One thing is certain: If things don't change they will stay the same."  But I think you will agree that that is not true.  Everything changes. People. Circumstances. Everything.  One thing that must remain constant in our lives is our focus and our positive attitude.  This is crucial.

I have determined what I want in my life and I stay focused on that.  No matter how difficult it is to maintain a good attitude when your world falls apart around you, it is imperative that your attitude is one of gratitude and vision.  Keep your focus.  Realize the vision. Be thankful for what you are learning in the rough times.
Change ;your focus

Tomorrow is another day; a new day with new beginnings and promises.  We must believe that it will get better.  If we are going through tough times, we focus on when they will be better.

For this prompt post, I was asked, What did you write about on your blog one year ago today?  Have things changed? What?  Why?  It was asked by my good blogging buddy, Dawn, at Spatulas on Parade.

On my blog from one year ago today, my post was entitled, What do you do with your leisure time?   Basically, my answer was.....What leisure time?

People who are close to me often say they live vicariously through me because my life has so many twists and turns on a regular basis that it keeps them motivated and challenged.  I know that I have far too many jobs and responsibilities, but I do not see how that will change anytime soon.

Hopefully, if you ask me this same question next year, I will have a different answer.  My focus is on that - working towards an easier life without as much stress and pressure from so many different directions.

At this point in life, many of my friends are enjoying their retirement and for a fleeting second, I may be envious.  But it does not last long. I want to work and be busy to the day I die.  However, a vacation would be nice.  Or a break from all the drama that surrounds having so many jobs.

I hope to close a couple of our businesses by this time next year -- that is my focus and everything else I am doing is preparing for that day.

I am grateful that at this point in my life I have the insane energy to be this busy and rarely get tired.  My talk show has given me the opportunity to meet incredible guests who often become friends. They have made my life richer and I don't ever want to stop my show, Never Ever Give Up Hope.  It is a highlight of my life and an encouragement to any and all who listen. It is now in over 120 countries!

One of the strongest passions is my life as a Health Coach.  I have been doing it for over 35 years and as excited as I have ever been. When I was given a maximum of two years to live with little to no hope, I refused the invasive treatments that held no promise.  I determined to find my own cure and DID.  That was 40 years ago.

I made myself a promise that I would help people for the rest of my life, to give them hope where they did not have hope.  I have been able to help hundreds of people realize OPTIMUM health - usually something that was only in their dreams.  Having the opportunity to bring health and restoration to people on a regular basis is more than anyone could ask for.  So many of my clients come to my office as a last resort, not realizing it should have been their first stop.  I guarantee results. Another job I will do.....forever.

Are you the same person you were a year ago?
