Why would anyone want to read my story?

Has anyone out there experienced this?   When I published my memoir I had absolutely no idea if anyone would like it.  I hoped they would; but, after all, it is a story about me.  Everyone has a story and they want to tell it.  So, why would anyone want to hear my story?

Well, apparently, they do.  I am spinning from all the "talk" about this book.  The comments are very gracious and several have made me cry.  I am so grateful for the kindness of others.

Here are some reviews that came in today:

I finished this book this morning.  I started it last night.  OMG!  What a nightmare.  She had to be strong to survive all of those challenges and a VERY strong faith.   Admirable.  Very unusual challenges to overcome. Positive strength and faith were her best friends.  I really enjoyed this novel. I was able to read it very quickly and loved the large print. A. M.

I am 89 years old and I read this book without putting it down. I cried and cried and related with her pain. She gave me hope, for the first time in a very long time. A.F.

Finished Battered Hope.  I will never again complain about my insignificant problems.  So sad she had to go through all that but so glad that she made it this far.  Thanks for the example of faith under fire. D. M.
